Mini Reset
A gentle pause in the middle of an ordinary day.
There are moments in the middle of the day when everything feels a little loud.
Not broken. Just loud.
You don’t need a new plan.
You need ten quiet minutes.
Turn your phone face down.
Open to one coloring page.
If you’d like, flip an hourglass or set a gentle ten-minute timer.
Let the time pass without watching it.
Once, a chaplain handed me a tiny cotton ball in a small plastic container. One drop of lavender.
It wasn’t fancy. It wasn’t a spa.
It was just enough to steady the edges of a hard day.
If you have something simple like that nearby, you can add it.
If not, the page and the pencil are still enough.
As you color, you may notice your breathing soften on its own.
Your shoulders may drop.
Your thoughts may quiet a little.
You don’t have to make it happen.
Just let it.
If your mind wanders, let it.
It will settle.
When the time is up, stop.
Even if the page isn’t finished.
For this moment, it’s just you, the page, the pencil, and space.
Ten minutes is enough.
One page is enough.
You are not behind.
